Precision Agriculture – Sugar Cane Reporting using GIS Dashboard

In the Belize Sugar Industry every year after crop farmers are required to report left over cane. Using our GIS solution farmers are able to identify which of their fields on a map have left over cane. Initially a word of mouth proved to be the only means of informing the Sugar Cane Production Committee that there was a certain amount of acreage of cane left over. Today’s dashboard which contains over 90 percent of fields mapped using GPS devices allows much more precise reporting than before.
